Salvatore 'Turi' Marino is one of the rising stars in the Sicilian wine industry. Fifth generation in a family of wine producers, but the first in his family to produce his own wine. Torri has 5.5 dunams of vineyards of local varieties only, which he cultivates alone and works exclusively by hand while maintaining the principles of organic-Biodynamics.

 

A motto Salvatore grew up with is the "Wine is made in the vineyard", and this is the ethos of his work to this day. His vines are planted as independent bushes and are treated and cultivated only with the most natural methods. He adopts a non-interventionist approach in the cellar, and each year creates about 3500 artistic bottles with a lot of character on his own.
